Who doesn’t love superheroes? Right now both Marvel and DC have become extremely popular, filled with recognized and beloved characters. I love creating these knitted figures of popular characters. Overall I have made Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Vision, Batman, Harley Quinn, Darth Vader, and Belle. They make wonderful gifts so I have had to part with many over the years.
Their base design is extremely simple (the added details can get a little more complicated. Here I’m only going to include the basic design for a body.

Making the Body
Making the body is very similar to the head but you are starting at a larger size and extending it out longer.

- Knit one round.

- K 2 Rounds
- K1, Decrease 1, K11, D1, K1 (repeat four times)

- K1, Decrease 1, K9, D1, K1 (repeat four times)
- K
- K1, Decrease 1, K5, D1, K1 (repeat four times)
- K
- K1, Decrease 1, K3, D1, K1 (repeat four times)
- K
- Cast Off

Making the arms and the legs
For the most part, the legs and the arms are around the same pattern. This one can be easily changed based off of what you are looking to make.
- Cast on 16 stitches
- Knit until reached desired length (about 1 inch)
- D2 (repeat four times)
- D1 (Repeat four times)
- Cast Off
Once you have all of the body parts knitted, the next step is to stuff them and sew everything together. This is a great base for ny character you want to make. Simple additions can be made to make the character more personalized and the different colors can be used to create their clothing and look.
For anyone who wants to attempt this project and is struggling with any of the additive bits, leave a comment and I would be happy to help!
