Surprise Effect Card

Birthdays during a pandemic are hard. There is so much I want to do and so little that I can do. Ordering something online doesn’t always feel right and with so many choices, it feels like it’s impossible to find the right one. So, I decided to take a step back and start with the basics: a greeting card. Greeting cards are easy though, so I thought why not spice it up with a surprise effect?? Continue Reading →

April Bullet Journal

Everyone know the saying that "April showers bring May Flowers". Well, I have to admit that is especially true in the weather temperamental city of Cleveland. And I'll be honest, I'm still half expecting it to snow again. But I thought why not base this months bullet journal on the rain? After all, it's a staple of the month! Continue Reading →

Epoxy Resin Sculpture

It’s no big secret that I love trying new things and about a year ago my solution to everything was epoxy. Didn’t like the countertops? Use epoxy. Wanted to replace the doorknobs but too much wood was missing? Use Epoxy. Like seriously, my solution for every hardware and craft problem was epoxy. But as the weather got colder, I had to stop doing epoxy pours as the reaction did not do well under cold weather. But now the weather has turned a bit warmer, nothing is going to stop me. I also noticed that more petals were falling off of bouquet of dried flowers I had and this was my best idea on how to preserve them. And I recently bought a stupid amount of silicone molds just to have fun! Continue Reading →

March Bullet Journal

Already we have made it to March! I will say doing these monthly bullet journal posts have made me more away of time than I generally like being. But February was a good month full of board games, chocolate and a lot of Animal Crossing! But now, onto the new Month and all the fun potential it can bring. Living in Cleveland, March generally leads me to start hoping of spring to come and the weather to warm. So I went with a very green theme! I also decided that it would be a good time to try out a very simple pattern that has a more modern feel. And since I was trying out a new feel I wanted to do a new technique as well! Root: Marquise de Cat Meeple

So, if it's not apparent by now, I really enjoy the Game Root from Leder Games. So, I decided I wanted to make a large meeple. And if you go big, why not go really big? So I ended up making a 8 inch tall meeple out of solid wood. I will admit, I am very luck to have a cricut Maker so I had it print out the cat meeple pattern that I wanted to use. I printed onto a sticker sheet so this way I could stick the outline where I needed it. Continue Reading →

February Bullet Journal

Whelp, apparently we are already two months into 2021 and let me tell you, the last week of January caught me majorly off guard. Traveling three out of the four weeks in January has definitely taken it's toll on me. With so much to do at work last week, I barely had time to do some of the things I enjoy. But here I am, catching up and I wanted to do a short and sweet post about my February Spread!! Continue Reading →

New Year, New Journal

One thing I love about the new year is the idea of getting a fresh start and for me that means a new bullet journal! Preparing for the new year always takes some extra steps as I have to reset my calendar, goals and do a new level 10 life spread! This year, I found a galaxy themed journal which I think fits me very well. Continue Reading →

Bauble Wreath

The space over our mantle place felt quite lonely since we moved into the new house. And with the Christmas season upon us, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try out a new project: a bauble wreath!! Once the idea popped into my head, I could not get it out. But I didn't know how to go about making a bauble wreath so the research began. Continue Reading →

December Bullet Journal

The winter wonderland has arrived! December is one of my favorite times of year, there is a majesty to the weather and a cheer in the air. Overnight the world outside my home became covered in a blanket of snow. The rain from before the snow created a layer of ice that caused the snow to stick to everything – the trees, the roads, and even the windows. It’s the perfect weather to snuggle under a blanket and enjoy and warm cup of hot chocolate. And, it’s also time for a new month in my bullet journal! I use bullet journals to keep track of my life. I’ve been told that I am a put together person, but the secret is I write everything down before I forget about it. And that’s why using a bullet journal has been a lifesaver for me.
