Knitted Meeple

Looking around the internet, I couldn’t find any patterns for knitted meeples that I really liked. So, the next logical step, was to make my own! This patterned turned out to be much more complex than I had anticipated, and I made some extra work for myself by trying to avoid sewing but I’ll get into that later. I absolutely love the result and it’s such a great accent piece and mini pillow! I can’t wait to accidentally leave it somewhere and find my cat trying to fit perfectly on top of it. Eyrie Meeple

My love of Root (a game of woodland might and right) continues to grow and now I’m working my way through all the factions to create a collection of giant meeples! The Eyrie gets to take center stage this time! Same process, different pictures. This meeple is made entirely of wood and holds to the 8-inch standard that I’ve apparently set for myself. Root: Marquise de Cat Meeple

So, if it's not apparent by now, I really enjoy the Game Root from Leder Games. So, I decided I wanted to make a large meeple. And if you go big, why not go really big? So I ended up making a 8 inch tall meeple out of solid wood. I will admit, I am very luck to have a cricut Maker so I had it print out the cat meeple pattern that I wanted to use. I printed onto a sticker sheet so this way I could stick the outline where I needed it. Continue Reading →
