It's Twenty Twenty-Two y'all!! The new year is always exciting for me because it means putting together a new journal! As usual, the front pages of my journal are full of classic staples: my favorite quote, the key and colors I plan on using, 2022 at a glance, Yearly goals, and level 10 life! This year, I also have a page dedicated to wedding planning since that is looming on the horizon!😱
What happened? How it is already December?!? Time is flying by this year and it’s been quite a year. I got to experience many first (first surgery, first gaming convention), some sad life moments, some happy life moments and all the steps in between. And I’m happy to end 2021 with my favorite time of year: the winter holidays. December is a month that always brings a smile to my face.
How is it already November? How?? This year is flying by and I feel like I've barely done anything. I feel like I'm still stuck inside. But maybe I want to be...the outside world is too bright. And it's also filled with leaves. One of the downsides to being surrounded by trees is that the yard ends up full of leaves that need to taken care of. Since I was already surrounded by leaves, I figured, why not surround myself even more?
October is one of my favorite months of the year. I'm not considered weird for wearing sweaters. The air becomes a little crisp in just the right way. And I'm allowed to celebrate Halloween for a very long time. I'm excited for my (what I want to be) annual horror movie marathon. So for October I went with potions because what is more classic for Halloween than witches?
Wow! We already made it to September! Twenty twenty-one has been flying by for me and I always wish I could have more time. And one of the biggest things I wish I had more time for is reading! I absolutely adore reading books and I feel like I haven't had enough time to dedicate to all those unread books on my shelf. So I decided to dedicate my September spread to be all about books! Hopefully the constant reminder will help me get into the reading spirit
I'm back! Sort of! Hopefully! July ended up being an absolutely crazy month for me with a lot of surprises. And, honestly, some scary situations. I have never been in a surgery room as a patient before - and it made me nervous. So in that vain, I decided to model August after the stars and the dreams so often attached to them. The stars feel so beautiful especially in the summer although the humid heat of Cleveland can make outside a bit uncomfortable.
I know that July is often associated with fireworks due to the countless displays that appear all over the United States. But I like to think that July is truly about Freedom. And nothing makes me feel like I'm free than being able to see the sky and the clouds. Sometimes I wish I could be weightless and experience the movement of the wind.
It's Pride Month! So what better way to celebrate then by making my journal completely covered in Rainbows? This is a time where we honor 1969 Stonewall uprising in Manhattan, as well as recognize the impact that LGBTQ individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally! I love using the rainbow and I decided to a watercolor effect to make it a vibrant and fun journal.
It's time for the May Showers! And it really has been a blooming may already as the entire front yard is full of dandelions. It's a radiant yellow. I forgot how I'm not a fan of the eighty degree swings we get here in Ohio. Never a dull moment with the weather. I swear, we experience 4 seasons over the course of 4 days. But that's enough kvetching about the weather. Let's instead look at the lovely flowers that inspired this months bullet journal.
Everyone know the saying that "April showers bring May Flowers". Well, I have to admit that is especially true in the weather temperamental city of Cleveland. And I'll be honest, I'm still half expecting it to snow again. But I thought why not base this months bullet journal on the rain? After all, it's a staple of the month!
