Homemade Fish Sticks

Mahi-Mahi makes a delicious fish stick with a flaky inside and a crisp and crunchy crust packed will spice and flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Mahi-Mahi Fillets about 0.7 lbs
  • 1 Cup Cornmeal
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Tbsp Water
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Cut the Mahi-Mahi into rectangular pieces.
  2. Place flour into one bowl.
  3. Mix together cornmeal, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder in another bowl.
  4. Combine Eggs and water into a third bowl.
  5. Season the mahi-mahi with salt and pepper.
  6. One at a time: Roll the stick in the flour, shake off excess. Dip into the egg mixture and then roll in the Cornmeal mixture.
  7. Pour oil into a pan, the oil should be a couple of inches deep. Bring oil to a boil.
  8. Fry fish for about 2 minutes on each side.
  9. Drain pieces on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  10. Enjoy!!
