There are six Comic Book Volume 2 characters. This includes Ethan, Ezra, Jack Munoz (2.0), Olmstead, Veronique, and Virgina Lyman.

Ezra

Since he was a boy, Ezra has hated bullies. A childhood spent being punched and insulted without fighting back for fear of being punished by teachers led shy Ezra to become a policeman. Over time, the hours spent hunched over books turned into violent shootouts with criminals and investigations of brutal murders. Though on the path of justice, Ezra quickly learned which people he had to side with to gain power and respect. While necessary for his survival, it has turned his hatred of bullies into self-loathing.

Ethan Willett

Ethan Willett is a promising university scholar at Brown University, passionate about hypnosis since his youth. He is the nephew of Dr. Marinus Bicknell Willett, the physician of Charles Dexter Ward, the young scion of a prominent Rhode Island family. Charles Ward has an ancestor named Joseph Curwen considered by all to be a sorcerer. He studied Curwen’s work obsessively, isolating himself from the world and worrying Dr. Willett about his mental health. The horrors evoked by the research of young Ward were documented in Dr. Willett’s diary, which eventually fell into Ethan’s hands. It’s content spurred young Willett to further his research on hypnosis as a treatment for anyone grappling with the ill effects of summoning’s and sanity-defying rituals.

Jack Munoz

Forced to drink glass after glass of cheap rum with his father, Jack was just a lost young man, unable to forget the constant throbbing pain in his temples – the only alternative to the belt buckle of a drunkard. Incredibly, years later, that same alcohol allows Jack Munoz to keep the alien insect that lurks in his head at bay. In between his day’s work on the decks and occasional collaborations with some bizarre detectives, Jack fights a personal battle as he tries to stop otherworldly monsters exterminating the entire human race

Olmstead

Unlike his colleague Ezra, Olmstead was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His family’s wealth allowed him to attend the best schools in the state of Rhode Island and he wanted for nothing during his youth. The influence of his father, a powerful political figure, allowed Olmstead to join the police, the perfect way to hide his shady activities. After his parents died, a quirk of bureaucracy left his entire inheritance to the Last Hope orphanage, throwing the detective out on the street. Unable to give up his vices, Olmstead spends his days working to pay off his ever-growing debts.

Veronique

When your parents are in jail for human trafficking, you must expect the city to think badly of you. Throughout her youth, Veronique learnt to bow her head to avoid the eyes of Brockton’s inhabitants. One evening, during yet another bar fight, the girl met Virgina Lyman, a seductive lawyer who had just move to Providence. Virginia not only helped her avoid being charged with slitting the throat of a drunken sailor with a broken bottle, but even took her on as a handyman for her new business. Since then, Veronique has helped her employer in many situations, some legal, and some not… and some really shady!

Virginia Lyman

Graduating summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island, Virgina Lyman became Providence’s first female attorney. To achieve that goals, she sacrificed everything – family, friendship, love – and soon came to terms with the corrupt legal system and the chauvinism that surrounded her. After years of sacrifice, Virgina Lyman was forced to give in to pressure from the head of a mysterious cult to save her girlfriend from being murdered by the sect… and this was only the first step into the nightmare; but a nightmare is which Virginia realized she was completely at ease.
