A Bullet Journal is a great way to organize your life, keep notes on what you need to do, and organize your hopes /dreams while being creative!
It’s June, and that means it’s Pride Month! While I think people should celebrate regardless of the day/month, it’s still a moment to lean in and show support. And that means rainbows!
I feel like the rainbow naturally permeates through my journal. My habit tracker has naturally become rows of color, and keeping the order in the rainbow colors just feels natural. There is a part of me that just likes having the determined order.
I know that this rainbow rotation is also found in the color wheel. It’s just present in nature. The rainbow is natural. And I think that’s why I adore how it’s used as a symbol of inclusion. A symbol of acceptance.
It’s my personal belief that if someone isn’t hurting themselves or others, there is no reason not to support a consensual relationship or existence. People should be allowed to be people. People should be allowed to identify or define themselves in a way that makes them happy. Alright, I’ll get off my soapbox.

June
I started by putting June in the center right of the left page. So close to the center but not actually the center. Last month I did a true center, and going over the seam in the paper was not the easiest thing to do to make it look good. Also, I didn’t like it obscuring the habit tracker.
Then I filled in the spaces where I wanted my calendar and habit tracker. This was just to block out the spaces, so I don’t try to put two things in the same place. With the building blocks of the layout set up then it was time to add the rainbows.
I wanted to basically make a rainbow road going across most of the page (behind the building block elements for June). This started at the bottom left of the spread and went up. As I did this, the lines got thinner and thinner. I think this added a nice dimension to the page.
Between this rainbow road and the building blocks of June, there was not much space left on the page. The space that did stick out was the empty space in the bottom right corner. So, I decided to add a classic rainbow shape.
But something still felt missing. And then a phrase popped into my head:
Be the Sunshine that Makes the Rainbow
Pretty confident that I heard this quote somewhere else, and it’s just been lingering in the back of my head. But I liked the concept. If it’s raining (metaphorically), become the sunshine that will make a rainbow. And that’s a cool thought.
June Habits and Calendar
One design I made with the calendar was the day of the week headers. I wanted it to be some sort of rainbow. And the best way to accentuate color is by adding darkness around the edges. This is something I have done in previous months, and I was waiting for a chance to try it again. Although it turned out better this time, I still forgot about the dark color contrast I should have remembered (mainly with dark purple).
Once again, I decided to try out 11 habits. These are truly my core values that I have noticed. Am I good at them? Not really. But that reminder, when I don’t know what to do, has been very helpful in keeping me in the moment.
Last Month’s Habits
I don’t know what I caught last month, but it knocked me out. There were about 2 weeks when getting off the couch felt like moving under 5 times the force of gravity. What this really meant was that I did not do as many habits as I normally would try to do because half of them required more movement than I consciously thought. So, not my best month, but I will never argue against room for improvement. It also made me a little proud of what I was able to do consistently.
Level 10 Life
I used to do the once-a-year Level 10 life outlook, but I found myself forgetting about it more often than not. That’s why I decided to create a graph tracker and update it monthly to help remind me of what I want to work on, and as a general check-in with myself. If things are getting worse and worse, it’s nice to take a step back and look at what might be affecting me beyond just everyday life.
