Baked Catfish

This is a very easy and delicious baked fish recipe that takes so little time to prepare and bake!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Cornmeal
  • 2 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Paprika
  • 4 Catfish Fillets
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat the over to 425 degrees F (I use convection bake).
  2. In a bowl, combine cornmeal, old bay seasoning, cumin and paprika. Whisk all ingredients.
  3. Season catfish with seal and pepper. Dredge fish in cornmeal mixture, pressing to coat.
  4. Lay baking parchment on a baking sheet, place fish on baking sheet. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of oil.
  5. Bake until golden, approximately 15 minutes.
  6. Enjoy!!

Notes

In the cornmeal mixture, feel free to get creative! I found I like this mixture of spices but there are plenty of other options to mix in. Some possible examples:
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Chili Powder
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Turmeric
