This 2026 Bullet Journal is the perfect way to sort my thoughts and goals heading into the new year with a bit of creative flair!
Where did the time go? What is happening? I feel like it was New Year’s just last week, and now it’s February! January was quite a strange month, given the amount of snow that we got. This is the most snow I’ve seen accumulated in a long time. I think I could step on a pile, and it would easily go to my knee.
And being snowed in messed up with my sense of time. February snuck up on me. I wanted to continue the Tarot theme in February, and this month ended up being cards fifteen and sixteen: the devil and the tower.

Why? Well, some of the tarots have been taken by month based on the Persona 3 timeline. Others were placed where I felt they could fit, or moved to where they were left. February was one month that had nothing associated with it. I like the idea of the devil and the tower together because I associate the devil with playfulness and the tower with a sudden upheaval.
February can often be a stagnant month. Especially in Cleveland. Outside, it is cold and full of snow or slush. People either stay inside or leave for a warmer environment (perhaps sudden upheaval?). I wanted to put playfulness in there as well because I want to keep playing in February instead of letting it become a dreary month.

The one thing I didn’t take into consideration with this design is how… demonic it would look. I was heavily influenced by the Persona 3 tarot card design. I also wanted the main color to be red since that’s the color I associate with February (i.e., Valentine’s Day).
2026 has the perfect February. It is a solid four-by-seven grid. I am overly enamored with this fact, but the perfectionist in me is deeply satisfied. I started by February spread with this perfect grid calendar centered across the two pages. Splitting the days is always a balance, but I feel the three / four split is the right approach.

Given that the left side had more room since it has one less calendar column, I put the February title in the top left corner. I am really enjoying the outline aesthetic, so I decided to lean into that once again. Then it was time to split the page based on the Tarot.
The left was dedicated to the devil tarot design, and the right was the tower. The card I used for the devil reference had a chain incorporated into the design. And I took that and ran with it. Maybe a little too much. And since arrows are a classic element of the tower, I wanted to have a transition from the arrows to the chains to tie the two together.

The other way I wanted to tie the design together was with the color. Keeping this design only black and red made a very striking spread. And I kind of love it. It’s a little darker than my normal designs, but that’s just the playful influence of the devil.
February Habits and Calendar
I really like having the habits broken out into their own little calendars. They gave me a more dynamic way to track certain habits, which I really appreciated. It felt good enough to continue with the same spread for February. The perfect grid also plays a role in this to some extent. Given that there are only twenty-eight days in the month, there was some extra space on the page. This might end up design or maybe a new habit, only time will tell.

Last Month’s Habits

As I said before, I really liked having individual calendars to track my habits. I feel like the separated calendars really got me to notice how often (or lack thereof) I would be doing the habit. Each calendar has at least one square filled, so that it’s a better feeling, but having them more consistent is the final goal
The only downside of this spread is that I do feel like the “one line a day” section is a bit too narrow. This alone might spur some change when it comes to next month. I really like having one line a day to highlight something that happened that day. It was really helpful recalling what happened on which day.
Lesson
Subsections with Sections
One thing I really liked about having the individual calendar per habit is that I could get more granular with keeping track of my habits. I mainly did this for music, but I hope to extend it to crafts, language, and perhaps reading. For music, I liked highlighting which instrument I was practicing with. It helped spur me to have more of a variety between the two rather than getting sucked into one. I didn’t even realize it was happening until I broke it out like this.
For the other habits, I am considering breaking them down by crafting type, which language (although I’m not sure trying to learn multiple languages at the same time is a good approach), and which book. The book is especially a fun breakdown because it shows how long it takes to read each book. I thought it would be fun to see which ones drag on and which ones are too good to put down.
