I cannot believe it’s July! It’s already halfway through the year and that is freaking crazy to me. I wish that time didn’t go so quickly. It’s going too quickly. I really don’t like it. But you know what I do like?? Puffeon! Who wouldn’t want a Eevee made of clouds? I believe this would a Flying Type Pokémon. I love how fluffy the mane is! I mean, it’s a cloud! Puffeon turned out a bit more… blue than I anticipated but they’re still very cute. I would definitely snuggle this Eevee in a heartbeat.
It’s June! I’ve very excited for the summer months because I’m not limited in my projects! There’s going to be a lot of epoxy projects going on this summer! I decided to kick off the Summer with Flareon especially since Jun holds the longest day in the year. And what’s represents the sun more than fire? I love the mix of orange and yellow that makes up Flareon, it puts a smile on my face. Also, I love how Flareon just has these full black eyes.
I have always been fascinated by the art of bookbinding. I have always taken notice of how the pages are bound together and how each cover of the book compliments the book itself. This seemed like an intimating process. I felt that way because I have a great love of notebooks. (I might have too many notebooks.) But there is not better way for a process to become unintimidating than by diving in and getting out on the other end!
The classic saying goes “April Showers bring May Flowers”, and do you know what else comes with the flowers? Bugs! So many bugs… I really hate bugs… But I don’t hate the Bug type Eevee: Pesteon! This is a fan-based Pokémon that is not official, but I absolutely love the design. It doesn’t feel like a classic Eevee because we are missing the mane. I love them all the same. This was an interesting design because it’s very gray which is not a color I had readily available in my wheelhouse. So there were more visible lines than normal!
I thought the weather would be getting warmer at this point, so I wanted an Eevee that truly signified Spring: Leafeon!! Unfortunately, a part of me thinks that I cursed it because we got snow this week and my head is very confused. But the birds outside are also very confused. So… everyone’s confused! I’m really looking forward to the spring and April makes everything a steppingstone closer. Leafeon seemed appropriate because it’s around this time I normally see the flowers begin to bud and the leaves return to the trees.
With March coming around the corner, I realized that I do not have enough official eevee evolutions to last all 12 months. So I decided to put in scatter some unofficial eevee evolutions throughout the year and March got to be one of the lucky months. And so, I present Hazeon! The poison evolution! Why did I pick a poisonous eevee for March? I don't know! It seemed like a fun color. Thinking about it for more than 10 seconds, I probably should have kept Hazeon for November when the mushrooms show up... but I did not think that much... Anyway, here's to an exciting March and the start of Spring.
I cannot believe it’s already February but, also, thank god it’s already February. January seemed like a bit too much for me to handle. Somehow, that one month has already taken a couple years off of my life. So, I am hoping for better in the upcoming month. And that’s why I wanted this month’s Eevee to be Jolteon. I hope that February will be energizing and help give me energy during the upcoming month!
It's Twenty Twenty-Two y'all!! The new year is always exciting for me because it means putting together a new journal! As usual, the front pages of my journal are full of classic staples: my favorite quote, the key and colors I plan on using, 2022 at a glance, Yearly goals, and level 10 life! This year, I also have a page dedicated to wedding planning since that is looming on the horizon!😱
What happened? How it is already December?!? Time is flying by this year and it’s been quite a year. I got to experience many first (first surgery, first gaming convention), some sad life moments, some happy life moments and all the steps in between. And I’m happy to end 2021 with my favorite time of year: the winter holidays. December is a month that always brings a smile to my face.
How is it already November? How?? This year is flying by and I feel like I've barely done anything. I feel like I'm still stuck inside. But maybe I want to be...the outside world is too bright. And it's also filled with leaves. One of the downsides to being surrounded by trees is that the yard ends up full of leaves that need to taken care of. Since I was already surrounded by leaves, I figured, why not surround myself even more?
October is one of my favorite months of the year. I'm not considered weird for wearing sweaters. The air becomes a little crisp in just the right way. And I'm allowed to celebrate Halloween for a very long time. I'm excited for my (what I want to be) annual horror movie marathon. So for October I went with potions because what is more classic for Halloween than witches?
Wow! We already made it to September! Twenty twenty-one has been flying by for me and I always wish I could have more time. And one of the biggest things I wish I had more time for is reading! I absolutely adore reading books and I feel like I haven't had enough time to dedicate to all those unread books on my shelf. So I decided to dedicate my September spread to be all about books! Hopefully the constant reminder will help me get into the reading spirit
