Join me as I look back at some of my favorite cookies from 2025
It’s the first week of 2026, which means I’m going to take some time to look back at 2025. Looking into the past seems like the perfect way to celebrate the future. Wait…

Anyway! The one thing I really wanted to look back at was some of my favorite cookies that were made in 2025. While all the cookies were delicious (and trust me, I ate too many of them), there were a few standouts that I wanted to highlight. These are in no particular order.
Check out the Make section of MCG for a variety of fun recipes, including delightful desserts and savory dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.
Blossom Cookies are the perfect mixture of sugar goodness with a bite of chocolate. The classic approach to blossom cookies is to have a more classic sugar cookie as its base. I like to add some peanut butter and brown sugar to give it even more flavor.

Lofthouse Cookies
These lofthouse cookies are a fairly good recreation of the store lofthouse cookies. They are soft and sweet with that delicious layer of frosting on top.
Macaroons
These macaroons were the most pleasant surprise for me! I am not the biggest fan of coconut, but for some reason, these are absolutely irresistible. Something about the mixture just adds the right amount of sweetness to the flaky coconut.

Spiced Pumpkin Cookies
I am not a spiced pumpkin girl, but I do love making these pumpkin cookies. A can of pumpkin puree can go a long way. The pumpkin brings a nice smooth flavor, and the spices bring a nice bite of flavor to the cookies. It gives me a warm feeling on the inside.
Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies
There was a fun time experimenting with vegan cookies last year, and I found some treasures. Especially these vegan chocolate chip cookies. They have the perfect rise, texture, and taste to be great chocolate chip cookies.
