Watercolor October Bullet Journal

Bullet Journaling is a relaxing and fun way to keep all your thoughts in one place and make sure you get your “to dos” done!

We have made it to October, and I could not be more excited! I love this month. It is a month of scary movies, tricks and treats, and sweaters and spices. I am in heaven. Continuing with the rainbow, October is also a mixture of blue and purple!

This blotch was a little messier than I anticipated. I am still relying on the same watercolor transfer technique. I was able to use a little less water for this blotch, but I did, accidentally, pulled the plastic and cause a bit of a smear effect. Which I like in its own way… No matter how many times I did this, I don’t seem to be able to control the final blotch.

The blotch came out in an interesting way. There were no solid borders. Nothing I could really outline… It felt more like a group of dots than a border. So, I decided to do a more elaborate border rather than the typical outline I normally do.

I used a combination of flowers, leaves and other nature inspired sketches to trace the border. This felt like enough of a drawing for a cover page that I didn’t want to do any more henna drawings outside of the flowers. October felt nice and simple.
